|1961-1971 Dodge Truck Engine Colors, Codes and
Below is information I have gathered from other truck owners and in no way is the exact way or should be taken as the exact way Chrysler made determinations or designated engine colors for Dodge Trucks from 1961-1971, only that it is information that I have gathered to help in identifying engine applications. If you have any information that would explain or otherwise conflict with this info, feel free to contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Below I have the exact printing from the Dodge Truck Parts Catalogs from 1961-1971, it should be noted that from 1969-1971 there are no notes for engines, so I have listed the notes which only apply to 1961-1968 engines. The actual stamping that is listed below makes reference to 1961 with the letter “R”, which is used as an example only, this stamping will change depending on the year as listed below. From 1965-1971 this will appear different, the stamping will have the letter designating the year along with the “full” cu.in. (A383, B413, etc.).

None of these engines or options are listed in the Dodge Truck Parts Catalogs. Some of which are known to be the 426 Max-Wedge, Hemi, 440, etc.
